I have held several roles within Cooper Standard over the years. I’ve primarily been in the program/applications engineering roles, including time as a lead customer site quality engineer. I’m now on the commercial side of the business working with multiple Tier customers. However, being one of the founding members of CAAN (the Company’s African American Network) is one of my greatest achievements. I enjoy helping promote diversity, inclusion and belonging initiatives which is very important to me.

It’s truly a unique experience working for a company that lives true to their values, promotes a culture of diversity and encourages innovation. The atmosphere is full of creativity and new ideas, allowing fresh perspectives and solutions. There is an openness to try new approaches and embrace change, and this supports a positive work environment with colleagues and leadership. I always feel heard and valued and this motivates me in my daily work, which also leads to company success.

Product development is the most stimulating part of my job. I get to use my experience, design guidelines and product process to develop a product design that meets customers’ expectations. Our smooth internal and external processes during a customer project bring me a lot of satisfaction and motivate me to improve daily. I’m proud to work at Cooper Standard and to be able to show the fruits of my labor when a new vehicle is launched on the market.

Working at Cooper Standard has been a rewarding experience. As a leader who works remotely, I was initially concerned about being over 700 miles from the corporate office, but given the disbursement of our global team, our workforce is very adept at collaborating across regions and time zones. It has also been great to have the opportunity to form meaningful, cross-functional, and global connections and collaborations!

My favorite thing about my job is that every day, I find new challenges and a lot of possibilities for self-development. In the beginning, I was nervous during international calls but now enjoy interacting with others around the world and have developed new self-confidence. Thanks to my job at Cooper Standard, I have met my husband and new friends. I also started training for a half marathon as part of the Company’s fitness team in Poland.

The safety of each person is our team’s top priority and we all take ownership in being socially responsible in everything we do. Anytime a team member has a challenge, they can count on the support of the entire group. ​

I am constantly working on different activities throughout my shift and leadership listens to my point-of-view to make an impact on team objectives. I really enjoy that part of my job!

I joined Cooper Standard about 23 years ago as a molding operator. I enjoy working here because I’m surrounded by team members who are excellent people to work with. Cooper Standard offers advancements in technology, tooling and the latest trainings. I truly love the work I do fixing things and making repairs using problem-solving skills. I’ve also had a few opportunities to travel to other countries and meet colleagues from around the world.
