GENERAL SUMMARY (Describe the overall duties and responsibilities of the job):

Responsible for the coordination, design, and production of a variety of internal and external communications projects including graphics, animations, print media, video production etc. The target audiences for these efforts include: customers, suppliers, stakeholders, executive staff, employees, and future employees.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES  (Duties required for successful job performance):

Manage external marketing needs including web content, print materials, displays and social media, ensuring messaging and branding consistency. Responsible for photo and graphic enhancements used in various communication materials including advanced photo manipulation and custom art creation. Assist with the creation of professional presentations incorporating custom design while enforcing company branding standards and supporting corporate messaging. Assist with the creation and management of company communication tools/library including presentation, literature, video and photo libraries. Create new art for use in communications including, logos, posters, info graphics, etc. Leads cross-functional teams as necessary to manage implementation and development of marketing communications. Helps promote a consistent message and look throughout Cooper Standard’s communications to support our brand identity and strategy. Retains extensive knowledge of graphic design and industry standard tools and techniques. Brainstorm new and creative ways to promote the Company visually. Collaborate with agencies and other vendor partners on displays, print and digital media. Responsible for product photography and assist with event media needs. May on occasion, be required to travel.

REQUIRED EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE (These are the traditional minimum, or required, bona-fide occupational qualifications and other requirements of most people in this job).

4 Year College or University Degree in graphic design, business/marketing or equivalent experience preferred. 1 – 3 years professional level experience in the Creative Services field Advanced Adobe Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator user Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially PowerPoint Experience in photography Experience in video filming a plus Experience in Premiere or AfterEffects and video editing a plus

REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES (Those needed to perform the essential functions of the job).

Must be a team player with the ability to work in large teams of different cultures and various levels of the organization (globally) from the CEO to the floor worker. Self starter that can identify needs and set out to finding solutions. Is able to take a project and see it through beginning to end. Must be able to see the big picture of the entire corporation, yet able to understand the various details of the divisions/departments to support the communication needs of both the corporation as a whole and the divisions individually on down to a department/customer specific needs. Must be able to provide support to internal departments for communications development. Must be creative. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Strong attention to detail. Must be able to work under tight deadlines and high stress levels. The working environment is fast paced and changes occur frequently.
