Position Summary:
The Sr. Financial Analyst (Purchasing Finance) provides financial support to the procurement department by effectively preparing and improving reports and analyses used for purchasing decisions, as well as tracking the financial results generated by the procurement function. The person in this position will be responsible for preparing budget targets for the procurement department, as well as short-term forecasts and variance analysis. Additionally, they will participate in special projects, enabling the development of analytical and technical skills. Independence, accountability, teamwork, and strong communication skills are required and will contribute to achieving organizational goals.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Providing financial support to the NA procurement team (regular participation in meetings, supporting cost-saving initiatives, preparing reports and analyses)
- Monitor and explain Purchase Price Variance (PPV), accruals, reserves, and the financial impact of raw material price fluctuations
- Ensuring accuracy of SAP BI procurement reports (in cooperation with IT)
- Analysis of raw material indexed prices and their impact on material costs
- Supporting month-end closing and reporting requirements
- Participating in budgeting and short-term financial forecasting
- Collaborate effectively with colleagues across Finance, Commercial, and Purchasing departments
- Participating in assigned special projects as needed
Education and Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- Professional experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in Financial Analysis / Accounting
- Language skills: Advanced English level enabling fluent communication
- Technical skills: Strong Microsoft Excel skills, experience in big data analysis
- IT systems: Experience with or willingness to learn SAP, SAP BI, HFM for performance reporting
- Analytical thinking: Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Motivation and commitment: Self-driven, responsible, motivated, able to work with minimal supervision
- Interpersonal skills: Excellent communication skills
