Position Summary:
The HR Business Services Specialist will be the primary point of contact for activities supported by the HR Business Services function and executes supported HR processes. This includes activities supported by Direct Access / Self Service. The HR Business Services Specialist manages cases from employees and HR Business Partners and applies policies, experience and knowledge to solve issues.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Fully understand and complete high volume transaction work with the highest degree of accuracy
- Identify opportunities to improve processes to gain efficiency and accuracy
- Uses expertise to provide guidance and support to team members on core HR competencies
- Assists employees and managers to navigate through the HR Portal and Direct Access applications including Workday
- Tactfully and assertively spread best practice
- Collaborates with appropriate COEs, HRBPs, HRIS, or third parties to resolve complex inquiries or transactions
- Uses the case management tool to accurately capture, track, and follow-up on inquiries; entries used to monitor KPI trends, track performance, provide feedback, and improve quality
- Performs daily review of open cases to ensure inquiries/requests are being assigned, resolved and closed properly and in a timely manner
- Participate in regular review of performance outcomes against SLAs and KPIs; identify trends requiring COE policy and procedure review and/or consideration
- Constantly seeks additional opportunities to improve the quality, efficiency and effectiveness of individual and team work
- Ensures there is a positive internal and external working relationship within the HR Service Center team and with external customers by frequently communicating and soliciting feedback with both parties and by measuring customer satisfaction
- Working on assigned projects for the department
- May, on occasion, be required to perform duties other than those specified in this description.
Education and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, or related field
- 2 to 3 years HR experience
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of Human Resources operations and policies preferred
- Ability to recognize, handle, and protect sensitive/confidential information
- Microsoft Office applications
- Demonstrates solid teamwork and collaboration skills
- Is self-motivated, goal-oriented, and customer-service oriented
- Is able to act with urgency when necessary
- Demonstrates integrity and a can do attitude
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment while maintaining accuracy and requirements
- Willingness and ability to travel, as necessary.
Work Environment/Work Conditions:
- Professional Office Environment and/or work from home environment
- Travel to manufacturing facilities or customer locations when required
- Equipment used requires proper training on the potential for and avoidance of injury
