Position Summary:

Administers and provides functional support for multiple areas of Human Resources, Continuous Improvement, and Building a Talented Organization, including but not limited to talent acquisition, health and wellness benefits, policy and procedure administration, training and development, employee relations and retention, AA/EEO compliance and labor relations.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Facilitates new employee orientation providing instructor led classroom and practical environment.

  • Supports Business Units to create and implement training plans to improve KPIs.

  • Reviews and approves process and production equipment work instructions for accuracy.

  • Delivers 10 Hour / 4 Hour workshops to certify plant instructors to ensure on floor training delivery.

  • Communicates various human resource plans and procedures, assists in the development and implementation of policies, procedures and related documents as needed.

  • Ensures employee training records are in compliance with company and regulatory standards.

  • Assists in organizing employee engagement activities.

  • Conducts training and administers performance evaluations for employees.

  • Complies with policies and procedures pertaining to the location, corporate, and customer standards such as IATF16949, ISO14001 and ISO9001.

  • Utilizes the concepts of continuous improvement and cost reduction in the execution of the job function.

  • Ensures Housekeeping, 6S, QA and Health & Safety Standards are communicated and maintained.

  • Identifies department specific training deficiencies and implements solutions.

  • May, on occasion, be required to perform duties other than those specified in this description.

Education and Qualifications:

  • 2-year degree preferred, but will accept comparable work experience

  • Three plus years of supervision or training experience preferred

  • Maintain confidential information appropriately and exercise discretion and sensitivity

  • Works independently and provides guidance to others

  • Works within guidelines and policies to achieve objectives and deadlines

  • Proficient in MS office

  • Proficient written and oral communication skills – Instructor Techniques

  • Attention to detail and data accuracy

  • Willingness and ability to travel, as necessary

  • Ability to work split shifts, as needed

  • Audit experience preferred

Work Environment/Work Conditions:

  • Professional Office Environment

  • Must wear proper personal protection equipment while on manufacturing floor

  • Travel to manufacturing facilities or customer locations when required

  • Equipment used requires proper training on the potential for and avoidance of injury
