GENERAL SUMMARY
Step into a high-impact, leadership role where cybersecurity meets global business. As the Lead Cybersecurity Administrator, you’ll be the driving force behind the company’s global cybersecurity initiatives. This role requires a strong technical background and experience working with enterprise level networks, servers, cloud solutions, and supporting technologies. You’ll lead the charge in designing, implementing, and optimizing security related solutions, focused on reducing enterprise-wide risk.
In this role, you’ll serve as the go-to expert for cyber defense, collaborating with global IT teams and business units to safeguard digital assets and standardize best practices. You’ll provide technical leadership, mentor peers, and act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) across a wide range of cyber related topics and technologies. With constant exposure to evolving tools and platforms, you’ll be expected to adapt quickly, think strategically, and respond decisively, especially during high-stakes incidents.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead Global Cybersecurity Strategy – Assist with developing, implementing, and updating the organization’s cybersecurity roadmap aligned with business objectives and global compliance requirements.
Oversee Security Operations – Manage day-to-day security operations, including monitoring, threat detection, incident response, and vulnerability management across global sites.
Act as Subject Matter Expert (SME) – Serve as the primary technical authority on cybersecurity matters, providing guidance to IT teams, business units, and executives.
Implement and Manage Security Technologies – Deploy and maintain security tools such as SIEM, XDR technologies, vulnerability scanning tools, and other cybersecurity specific systems.
Ensure Compliance and Risk Management – Ensure adherence to industry standards (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST, TISAX) and regulatory requirements (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) relevant to the automotive sector.
Lead Incident Response and Recovery – Coordinate and lead the response to major cybersecurity incidents, including root cause analysis, containment, eradication, and recovery.
Conduct Security Assessments and Audits – Coordinate regular internal and third-party security assessments, penetration tests, and audits to identify and mitigate risks.
Collaborate Across Global Teams – Work closely with IT, HR, legal, engineering, manufacturing, and compliance teams across regions to align cybersecurity practices and ensure consistent protection.
Develop and Enforce Security Policies – Create, update, and enforce cybersecurity policies, standards, and procedures across the organization.
Train and Educate Staff – Lead cybersecurity awareness programs and training initiatives to promote a security-first culture among employees.
Monitor Emerging Threats – Stay current with evolving cyber threats, vulnerabilities, and technologies, and proactively adjust defenses accordingly.
Drive Automation and Efficiency – Implement automation tools and processes to streamline security operations and reduce manual workload.
Report to Leadership – Provide regular updates and risk assessments to senior leadership, including metrics, KPIs, and strategic recommendations.
Other Tasks – Complete other responsibilities as assigned
REQUIRED EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree in cybersecurity, IT, computer science, or related field required Experience supporting enterprise level infrastructure (server, network, cloud, etc.) required 5+ years of experience in a senior-level role supporting enterprise IT or cybersecurity required Master’s degree in cybersecurity, IT, computer science, or related field preferred CISSP or CISM preferred Other Cybersecurity / IT certifications a plus (CRISC, CEH, CHFI, CompTIA Security+, CySA+, CASP+, Microsoft, Cisco, ITIL) Experience working in automotive or manufacturing preferred
REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Technical Skills
Advanced knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, TISAX) Proficiency in security tools such as SIEM, XDR, endpoint protection, and vulnerability scanners Strong understanding of network architecture and protocols, including TCP/IP, DNS, VPN, and VLANs Experience with cloud and server concepts related to platforms like Microsoft Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Incident response and forensic investigation skills
Analytical & Problem-Solving Abilities
Ability to analyze complex security incidents, determine root causes, and mitigation strategies Strong risk assessment and mitigation planning skills Capacity to interpret and apply compliance requirements to real-world IT environments
Leadership & Communication Skills
Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage global cybersecurity initiatives Strong verbal and written communication skills for reporting to executives and training staff Ability to translate technical concepts into business-relevant language Willingness and disposition to continuously learn new skills and to train others

Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, global environment Strong strategic thinking to align cybersecurity initiatives with business goals

REQUIRED DECISION-MAKING AND ORGANIZATION IMPACT
Decisions made will have an impact on company performance related to Cybersecurity and business processes and should be reviewed with supervision before action is taken. Due to the nature of the duties performed, individual may be exposed to confidential information. Responsible for guarding against the disclosure of confidential information to unauthorized personnel. Must reflect a courteous and professional attitude and be able to communicate with all levels of the company personnel, as well as customers and vendors.

WORKING CONDITIONS
Minimal travel is expected
40-45 hours of professional work expected each week
Working hours will typically be normal business hours in the US ET zone
On call 24×7, critical situations may require work outside of normal business hours
